Joe is a landscape artist based in South London whose work invites viewers to explore how they find their way through the world.
Inspired by cartography, Joe’s work is based upon the uses of line and tone to evoke solitude, adventure and resilience.
Having studied English Language and Literature at King’s College London, Joe built a two-decade long career in corporate communications working for the likes of Google and Sir Richard Branson.
In fact, Joe cites the powerful simplicity of the professionally written word as a major influence in his work, building a following amongst many professional writers and drawn to the clarity and restraint of his work.
Having kept sketchbooks throughout his adult life, Joe begun his artistic journey in 2022, since when has featured in the Dulwich Artist’s Open House (2023 & 2024), The Coningsby Gallery in Fitzrovia (2024, 2025, 2026) and the prestigious Green and Stone Works on Paper Exhibition (2026).
Joe held his first solo exhibition ‘Some Days’ at the in 2025 and in March 2026 produced the joint exhibition ‘Going Places’ alongside award winning plein air illustrator, James Oses.
